The Hardest Thing

Hi, I am a single mom of 4 amazing children and this is the first year i havent been able to figure something out and its truly killing me..I have 3 girls ages 13-10-7 and 1 boy age 8...They know I cant get them much if anything this year, but whats killing me is that they have hope and faith sayin mommy dont worry Santa wont forget us so its ok...but how does a mom tell her kids there is no one being Santa this year....I feel for all the families out there tryin to make ends meet and I pray something good happens to each and everyone of the children on Christmas morning..I would give everything I have to be able to see my kids smile when they say see mom santa came,u had nothing to worry about(but deep down i know this is not going to happen) I am not ready for my kids to stop believing and having faith..what does a mommy do?!?!?

Re: words from david jeremiah

When trials come, the greatest leaders of all, the wisest ones, will then turn their eyes toward heaven.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:19-25

There was a recent newspaper story about a woman in Tel Aviv who decided to do something nice for her elderly mother.  She bought her a new mattress.  The woman's bed was hard and lumpy; so as a surprise this woman had her mother's old mattress carted off to the junk yard, and she replaced it with a brand new one.  As it turns out, the older woman had hidden her life's savings in that mattress.  It was stuffed with over one million dollars.  They haven't found it yet, and an Israeli newspaper ran a picture of a woman desperately combing through a junkyard in southern Israel without success.

Sometimes new, younger, succeeding generations of people can toss away something that's very valuable without realizing its worth.  Take church attendance, for example.  Sometimes we avoid or discard the very thing we need the most. During challenging times, it's vital for us to stay connected to a healthy church where we can be encouraged, nurtured, and helped.  Let's not forsake the assembling of ourselves together.

I am always thinking about you

I am not pleased at my current job.  Every day I walk in, sit down at my desk, turn on my monitor, make a cup of coffee and start trying to sell services that in this economy are a luxury.  I get down, sales are slow, I complain........I'm sorry.  Every night I pray and give thanks that I have a blessing (otherwise known as a job)  I am set back by so many of these stories that it just re-enforces the fact that I should sit down and thank the lord for what I have, not dwell on what I have not.  I would like to say that I do consider myself one of the lucky ones, not in the fact that I have a job, but in the fact that I am called to serve.  I don't have much, but all I have is yours.  Peace of Christ be with you all.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

About Perservance

I believe Jesus Christ and the power of prayer. For years I have always been concerned about others and do as much as the Lord allows me to do to help those who are in need. When I look over my years on this earth, I realized that most of it has been reaching out and helping others. My concern for the poor and needy is personal. Helping others, especially those who cannot help themselves is a special gift that the Lord has given me. I believe in being pro-active and not shying away from difficult fights. My professional career has been in human services and through the years this is where I am most comfortable and confident. Right now, my heart is aching for those who are suffering because of the economy and greed of a few in America who care nothing but for their own personal gain. I am fortunate or should I say, blessed, that the Lord has found me worthy to serve him and thereby, I am able to be of service to others. My life has taken me to the places where I never thought I would be able to travel but with God, all things are possible. Right now, my prayers are for those who are in dire need of immediate financial help. I take this very personally. Prayer is a powerful weapon that I could never let go. My life is driven for my love of Jesus and with Him on our side, things happen that the world describes as a miracle but I know is His will. If God is our inspiration all is well.

With Gods Blessings, may my prayers be heard so that I may pay it forward sometime soon

I gave 28K down for a new home in 2005. I was told that I could lower my house payments in 2006 with a refinance, then I refinanced once more due to my new diagnosis of breast cancer stage II. My mass was the largest many doctors had seen, to their amazement it had not spread into my lymph nodes. I am being treated by one of the leading university hospitals in the U.S. This has been costly, I have insurance but my 20% is adding up fast. I worked all through chemo, lost my home to foreclosure, signed a lease with a landlord that took my last $3.600 and his home was foreclosed on. My elderly mother, myself, my husband and my son came up with enough money to get into another home. I am now going to have to fight to get my $3600 security deposit back. I know that through all these valleys God will lead us to the top of a mountain once again. Right now we cant make the light and gas bills, my medicine is getting costly, car payments are falling behind and I may have to sell my wedding rings to just get food on the table. I have paid out so much in moving costs, turning on utilities, closing bills, that we are drained. My FICO is shot with the forclosure and the IRS will want to know where is the 78K that is the difference between the first and second note. The first foreclosed last year, but the 2nd will foreclose this year. Yet my heart still compels me to be there for others. I have not lost my smile or awesome attitude, because I know that God is in control. The more I try to control things the worst things get. My desire is that if any Christian out there would like to help their sister in Christ and her family. I wont be proud and say no. I mean someone that wants nothing in return but for us to pay it forward to someone else when we are back on our feet. I was just told that the chemo and radiation I  was on was not enough. So I start another round of chemo this week. I have not lost my love or faith. I will continue to work as much as I can just as I have through all the other treatments. I know that I am healed in the name of Jesus, my scans are coming back clear and my blood work is looking great. If anyone out there is willing to help , let me know.

I need help to reorganize my financial status.

Hi,

My name is Kristi and I need to make a fresh financial start.  Last year my Grandmother lived with my husband and me for the last eight months of her life.  She had Alzheimer's and we were her care givers.  During this time, I lost touch with things and let some really important things slip my mind.  We own a small business in the town that we live in and when she moved in with us I started working from home.  I made some errors financially that has now left us in a real bind that I can not seem to get us out of.  My husband and I work hard and I am trying desperately to reorganize so we can begin our life again without the huge strain of financial distress that I have caused my family by letting myself get out of touch with reality while my Grandmother was with us.  Any help would be appreciated and once I get back on my feet, I vow to continue visiting this site helping others in my position.  I am in need of $8700.00 to catch up and get my head above the water so I can get back on track.  If financial help is not available then pray will be much appreciated.

Thank you for the time you took to read this.  God says that I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.  I feel that he lead me to this site.  God Bless you all.

Kristi

I am 36 years old and have found myself in quite a mess.  My husband and I own and operate a small business in the town that we live in.  We have done well, but due to some errors that I have made while being away from the office caring for my Grandmother with Alzheimer's  we are in need of help to get our finances reorganized.

We are believers in God and know that he will get us through this time in our life.  I feel he lead me to this site for help and where I one day can help someone in the same situation I am in now.  If you are unable to help financially a prayer would be much appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and may God Bless you and your family.

One Mommy

I am simply one mommy in the world that wants herself and her family to make a difference for others through sharing Christ.  We have been so blessed to have a home, clothes, & food.  So many people are  not as fortunate.  I think that it is important that we help each other when we can and pass it on to someone else.

I now work from home and my husband will be able to quit his job and work with me sometime next year.  I am so thankful for that, as he is a welder and it really bothers his asthma.  I have also been able to show my mom and others how to do the same thing so that they can earn a very comfortable living from their home with only a computer & a phone.  My team is one of the fastest growing in the company and we are changing peoples lives.
